Our metal plates come in a few different thicknesses depending on what your needs are. Asset tags and equipment plates usually need to be thin and discrete, while outdoor metal togs or company branding might need to be thicker and more durable. Use the diagrams below to help you choose!

Chemical etching is the most common method for making and decorating metal. It's fine detail, mulit-dimensional appearance, and durability make it the preferred marking process for awards, equipment tags and asset tags, metal name badges, wallet cards, and even commercial plates.

For a more detailed printing, sublimation is a great option for printed metal plates. The beautiful full-color results of sublimation make it a favorite for reproducing photographs, custom Pantone colors, gradients and other multi-color process.

Screen printing continues to be popular because it is economical and durable. When printing with 1-3 solid colors, it is a great option for any of our metal finishes. The screen printing can be personalized with a laser or rotary engraver.
